Does help keep a small area warmer. It's small enough to store easily, not too heavy but very sturdy. Very quiet fan. I like it.

Arrived quickly. I bought some additional 6 hour gel chafing dish type of cans. It is amazing how quickly the fan turns on from the heat. It's a very simple concept, the outside stayed very cool. Won't warm your entire house of course, but it does put out some heat. It's very quiet also. And chafing dishes have been used with this type of burner for many, many years indoors. They do say not to shut off a room if you have this lit. I had put it in a living room that had no doors.

Absolutely on of the best heater, stove combo units on the market today. A phenomenal unit to have when the power is out for a long period of time. One can be bathed by the fan feed heater as the is cooking at the same time. I've had to use mine twice since I bought it two months ago. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Got this as a source of heat why fishing over night reviews looked ok but clearly not hardly any heat coming from it the fan sucks in the cold air and just blows that out so clearly a useless item for what u have to pay for it

This really will keep you warm in a pinch. After about 5 mins, the fan started turning quickly, and pushing good heat out of the top. I haven't cooked on it yet, but it should work just fine. Even if you can't heat your whole house with it, it'll do a smallish room, and you can always huddle around it for a higher temp.I estimate it should cost about $1/hr to run all 3 canned heats at the same time...pretty affordable.I wouldn't recommend standing on it, but it seems sturdy and well built.

I was intrigued/excited about the prospects of another heating alternative given the pending winter storm in our area. I think I've been spoiled by my portable propane heater (pictured left) because the Vesta heater/stove (right) produces a fraction of the heat. I believe the Vesta is cheaper to operate hour/hour and it's kind of neat technology (a fan driven by the heat of the sterno). But I just did the math I should have done before I purchased it. The Vesta Unit produces approximately 1/3rd the heat of the propane unit.

I bought this last year as insurance against blackouts during the winter. We just had a massive days-long outage here in the Seattle area, and this unit came through and kept us warm. This isn't the most powerful or cheapest alternative, but it's handy, easy to store, and usable indoors when the unexpected hits. The fan kept the air in our home about 15 degrees warmer than outside. We didn't use it for cooking, as it's easy enough to just rig another cook space, but were glad to have the option if we wanted it. I'm ordering more fuel as preparedness backup. Recommended if you can afford it.

I ordered the stove on good Friday during the Easter holiday, and it arrived from America at my UK home 6 days later. A well-constructed winter heating solution for my small camper. It blows out enough heat to keep my van warm for nearly 6 hours without a fuel change, it’s as good as silent and it draws no power from my batteries. And does not even tickle my gas detectors. What’s not to like ? Ok, its costs a bit more than some alternatives but it works for me.The flame is completely enclosed within the unit offering greater safety, but care should be given to ventilation (oxygen) and using the right fuel as there are different types of chafing fuel out there. Some are for outdoor use. 'All in All' I’m am well impressed and pleased I bought it.

I've been waiting for quite some time to get this little gem! And last week was cold enough in the house to test it out. It comes with three tins of "fancy heat" but for testing I just used two of the ones I got from the dollar store. And we only tested the heater. It did not take long for the fan to start turning, and we did notice a difference, the room was a little warmer. But as I said, it was dollar store canned heat and only two of them, and one was already half used up.So the test was positive, and next I'm going to try my stove top coffee pot on it to see how long that takes. We had a 24 hour power outage a few years ago when we lived in BC, and it was a nightmare to wake up and realize we weren't getting any coffee!!! And I suppose while I'm waiting for the coffee pot, I'll try cooking an egg.I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially since you are able to use it indoors. It's not heavy, but is sturdy. This is one item I have no regrets about purchasing!
