Gives Quoted flow rate and head. Bought extended warranty because it will be in continuous service during summers in Canada and stored indoor winters. A cheap alternate to the metal pumps that pool and pond suppliers want to charge you. Only time will tell. My last cast iron pump only lasted 4 years at 3 times the price.

I had four solid years of this pump running 24/7/365.24 with many times running dry for a few days at a time. I think this last one finally made this pump bite the dust. For $100 for a very strong pump that lasted this long - well there's not a better deal than this. I bet if I cleaned the insides more often (or even once) it would have lasted longer. This ran year round in New Jersey - pumping water up a 3'-4' waterfall and into a frozen pond in the winter.

Worked well to replace a smaller failing pump. The only problem was that the supplied transition from male to female coupling leaked along a seam and was replaced with another fitting.

The first one I ordered runs for a few seconds but immediately seized while running clean water. The impeller wouldn't budge when I tried moving it with my finger. I received a replacement through Amazon. It works as expected and is very quiet and powerful. It seems to pump better than my previous pump of similar rating. I like that it can be mounted flat so that more of the motor can be submerged, which I think can prevent overheating in a low water situation.This pumps in my waterfall that has a 6-7' head, and the flow is great. I did place it is a seive bag for guarding against debris. It's only been running a few days non-stop and i will update when it gives up.

We purchased VIVOSUN 5284 GPH Submersible Water Pump, 400W Pond Pump, Ultra Quiet Aquarium Pump with 29.5FT Lift Height for Pond, Waterfall, Fish Tank, Statuary, Hydroponic. It ran well for a month running only 6 hours a day, yesterday just over a month of running it, it ceased to operate at all. What a disappointment.

Easy install with included adapters. Waterfall/river looks and sounds great! It’s a mag drive pump, if it’s outside in a pond you gotta clean and lube the impeller every once in a while.

Item works but only for a short time.. Does not operate even for 10mins and it died.. Then cannot turn on.. Not sure if its faulty. Will never buy again
