They could do without the bottle opener on it would be my only negative comment. This is a solid steel rod that has thick welds on it and will last forever.

Got it for camping, works great I put a little sharper tip on it so I could stick it in the ground next to the fire ring

This is a good, heavyweight fire poker - not heavy but sturdy and well made. It works well with our fire pit. I like that it is made for the outdoor fire pit so it does not need to be stored after each use; but still need to put it away if not going to be used for awhile (like for the summer). It also has a bottle opener, so you don't need a second tool with you to open a beer. It is a great item to have for a fire pit in your backyard or to take with you for a camping trip since it would not take up much room.

I got the 24" model and was surprised by how heavy it is. I can still use it comfortably, but it definitely has some heft to it. The points are sharp so you'll want to store it away from kids and animals. The sharpness helps to move wood around in my fire pit, so it is not unnecessary. The bottle opener doesn't work, but it was not a big selling point for me so I don't mind. I thought the hand guard would get in the way, but it actually give me a little extra leverage when I need it so I like it. This is a great tool with several available sizes to fit any application.

I received the 2' long compact fire poker to use with my outside fire pit. It is a perfect size for small fire pits, but because it appears to be solid metal, it is heavier than most also because it is wider. The built-in bottle opener is awkward to use because of the weight and moving it to get the correct angle could prove dangerous to others around you ("You could poke an eye out with that thing!").I was disappointed that the name plate arrived with a rivet missing and rolling around in the bag. Now I have to fix it as the nameplate sticks up and is rough on my hand if I grab the poker from the other side of the handle. Maybe glue for metal?Overall, the item is as described and is solid metal and sturdy.
