Although this unit is a listed replacement part for a Roper Model RT18AKXKQ03 refrigerator, it requires some tweaking to fit in the original refrigerator housing. Because the thermostat housing is a bit larger than the original, you need to bend the ground connection tab 90 degrees away from its original position to clear the plastic mounting screw protrusion cast into the refrigerator housing. It's a very tight fit, but it works and solves my temperature control problem. Good luck!

This thermostat saved me from throwing out a twenty year old refrigerator. The thermostat was an exact fit for this older refrigerator. The actual replacement took less than 30 minutes, saving g me about $1000. !!!

Our garage fridge Roper RT18AKXKQ70 was only cooling intermittently. I narrowed it down to the thermostat since the fridge worked fine when it was running and there was no clicking when turning the thermostat dial but it would hold a temperature.Needed to bend back the ground terminal and bend up one of the other terminals - otherwise it fit well into the space of the original part.Fridge works fine now.

Pro:After modifications, pushing/pulling, undoing wire ties, stretching a wire to the max and jamming it into place, it seems to be working.Cons:1. I had to bend the ground wire tab to get it to fit, and even then it had to be jammed into place and was not completely straight.2. Main power tabs were in line instead of parallel, so the 90 deg clips interfered with each other. Had to undo some wire ties, stretch one of the wires and so that the clip could be flipped 180. This ended up causing the wire to bend 180 deg right at the end of the clip, and it had to be jammed between the clip and the housing.Overall:While the part worked for my fridge, it was a sloppy and unprofessional job, and the stretching/tight bending of wires could cause a short in the future. You can't see it from the outside when it is all said and done, but, if knowing that you did a crappy job bothers you (borderline for me), buy the OEM part.

Fixed my warm freezer problems instantly. The freezer would go through thaw cycles and on it's coldest day was only 10 degrees Fahrenheit.I researched the part number and ordered it without removing my old one simply because I didn't want to take a chance on it quitting all together and losing my food while looking for parts. The part I looked up online was a different part number that the one in the refrigerator but that wasn't any fault of the retailer. The switches were close enough in design that it went back together with no problems. The freezer was running great at 10 below Zero within minutes and has been perfect ever since.

Oredered this as it says it replaces part 2225460, but it did not look like the picture posted. As such it did not fit my fridge.

Thought this was the bad part because the fridge would just shut down, unless you knocked it right where this is located. After having it happen one night and ruining a lot of food I looked up the part on an appliance parts web site. I decided to plug the part # into Amazon and see what happened. There it was for less and FREE shipping. I ordered it and it arrived on time, packed safely cushioned in its box.Unplug the fridge and remove the shroud housing the old one it making sure to keep track of the screw. Make note of the position of everything then replace exactly with the new one. I Put everything back and two months later not one shut down, everything works great. Very happy with part, order process and price.Update 9/22/2016 Still have same fridge. Part is still working fine.
