Now you can take control of the clutter with the through-hull wiring kit, providing you everything you need to easily route wires from a battery or other electronics from a hatch or pod through your kayak's hull. Bought these to finish outfitting my kayak, and it was so easy to install. The only 'challenge' was to remember to put the nut on the transducer cable BEFORE passing the cable though the hole in the hull. Beyond, that, drill a hole in the hull, pass the cable through, put the rubber gland and plastic housing on, then secure it through the hull with the nut on the back (that you remembered to put on before passing the wire through).Common sense, but make sure you have interior access to the wherever you want to mount the through-hull, as you need to reach inside the hull to tighten everything down.A 1-beverage job, but on a hot day, two might be better for hydration. The second beverage had nothing to do with forgetting to put the nut on before passing the transducer cable through the hull.

If you install any sort of wire/electronics on your kayak, I highly recommend using this product. It eliminates the opportunity for water to get inside the kayak as well as making upgrades fast and effective without having to drill new holes.

Works as described. Holds the power cables tight in place - after you drill a hole in your kayak of course.

When it comes to thru hulls I think alot of what's on the market is over priced and ugly. These work well but still fall into overpriced and ugly. I wish they had a way that would come out the top at a 90 so cables could run out and down the track not loop way up just to keep things clean and less chance to snag on.

Good product. The grommets are not sized for a hummingbird piranha other than that easy to install and seems legit.

I purchased this to clean up the wiring on my kayak for my fish finder. Easily installs in minutes when you have the proper tools. Keep in mind, before you drill your hole, that you must be able to reach the backside of the bulkhead to install a nut.

This was a great kit and just what I was looking for to install fish finder wires through my kayak. I will say, it's a little scary to drill not 1, but 2 large holes in a $2,000+ water vehicle, but I just held my breath, ignored the sense of impending doom, and went for it!Make sure you have the right size hole saw or forstner bit (I think it called for 1 and 3/8"), but other than that the process is pretty seamless.Included in the kit are various sizes to fit different fish finder wires. The fit was snug for the power cable and transducer wire for a Humminbird Helix 10.One tip that may be obvious is to make sure you put the holes in a place on the kayak where you can have access to the back side of the hole. The attachments are held in place with a screw on system and I could barely reach the area needed through the hatch.Good luck!
