I had an old Washburn HM-5V gifted to me. It had a bad neck pickup, but otherwise a beautiful, unique guitar. I replaced the pickup with this Wilkinson and the old gal sprung back to life. It is a basic pickup and maybe not as clear or as hot as high-dollar ones, but for its price, it is a winner and produces a fine tone.

Great pickup for the price this is the second Wilkinson pickup I’ve bought and not disappointed great quality and sound just beware might have to modify some pick guards for it to fit!

Used this pickup in a Strat I was building. Reviews were all good and thought I would give it a go as I usually use SD pickups..... but this one was a nice surprise. Great tone.

I did a HSS custom strat build and installed a Seymour Duncan Custom (TB-5) for the bridge so I wanted some good single coil pickups that would balance well with the humbucker. I noticed a TON of good solid reviews for Wilkinson pickups and given I only paid about $20 a piece for these singles I figured I had nothing to lose really. I also figured these being higher output ceramic pickups, they'd do fine with 500k pots I had installed with the humbucker, and WOW.... these pickups sound amazing! Both neck and middle pickups give you that vintage strat sound without being too glassy that is common with alnico pickups, and they have a very tight bottom end. You can get some sweet blues and jazz tones with the neck pickup. Kick on the distortion and solos sound beautiful. I was initially going to buy the Seymour Duncan SSL1's singles. But those are $60 a piece, and I just want the guitar to sound good. I don't care to spend big $$$ for name brands. I will continue using Wilkinson pickups going forward.
