Thes are needed to keep a strong wind from blowing out the flame

We did the aluminum foil route and yes it work however these work even better as it allows some air it is just controlled by vents. Should have bought it earlier. Held on with magnets however, the magnets sometimes stay on the grill and not the windguard so gluing them on is a fix.

I purchased these because it on a windy day I could never get my Blackstone griddle to get very hot because the flames are always distorted from the wind. These stopped at 95% work great

It blocks the wind and allows the burners to keep a consistent heat across the griddle, but it also keeps the heat in and makes it much hotter. We've been using it with all 4 burners on the lowest setting. More efficient but doesn't leave room to turn it down more if you need to without turning burners completely off. But they are held on with magnets so easy to remove if we want to.

It blocked the wind and gave me a more even cooking surface.

The magnets came loose when it got hot and it fell apart. May be going back to my heavy duty tin foil again.

Not what I would call a perfect fit but it stays in place with the small magnets. Seems to deflect the heat.

I have the Member's Mark 4 burner griddle and they fit just fine.Easy to install and so far they are holding tight. I used the pieces made for the rear on the front and scrapers from Dollar Tree on the rear so I would have coverage all the way around without buying two sets and having extra side pieces.I immediately noticed there was less heat coming from under the grill out the sides and front of the griddle. The conclusion is this heat stays in and goes right where it should - heating the cooking surface. The griddle does get hotter with less flame needed.
