As a pro painter these are the best pole I've seen or used and have bought every size available and been using them daily, some of them for almost 10 years! They are very solid but not heavy and the fact you can buy replacement parts just makes them even better (although I've only had to do a repair once on the quick release after several years of use). If you are using an extension pole regularly just buy one.

My passion is tools and I take pride in them. I want my tools to last even if I pay a little more. this tool is very well made, and for me, the right size to reach the ceiling and the top wall without the tool being so long that the end is hitting things in the room as I move about. Eight to ten foot walls are no issue now. The base is fiberglass with a rubber end and the extension is aluminum so it is not heavy at all and very sturdy.I like that it is adjustable so I can leave it on the tool as I finish the lower wall. It is the perfect size to reach the floor as well if painting or staining the floor without needing to bend down to reach.I have other sizes tools and this tool complements well the other sizes.

This product is a lifesaver. It allows you to reach up high or low. Even if you have really high walls it can easily reach; no moving ladders over and over. It’s a completely reasonable price as well. Moving the length up and down is as easy as pushing down on lever.

Believe it or not, I use these extendable handles for snow brushes, and they work great! I use the foam snow brush heads that screw onto the end of a threaded pole (much easier for clearing large amounts of snow from your car, check them out!) and this handle makes it easy to store the brush in the car. The durability is great, they open and close easily, and for being an extendable pole they are actually quite stiff even when fully extended.

This extension pole is used for pushing transport chains through equipment, shipping containers, and other cargo, when securing the load on the trailer.There are times when my arm cannot reach far enough to pass the chain through the load. Or, when the chain is partially through, and cannot be reached from the other side of the trailer.I use this extension pole to either push the chain across the trailer, or to grab the chain from the opposite side, and pull it through the load being tied down.Just below the tip of the extension pole, I drilled a 3/16" hole, and put a small bolt with a locknut.The bolt need not be tightened down. This bolt is used to snag the chain or chain hook, and get it through.Another thing is that the extension pole could still be used as a pushbroom handle, because the large threads on the tip of the extension pole does not get affected by the single hole drilled, nor the nut and bolt.The convenience of having a retractable extension pole instead of a fixed length pole is that it is short when not in use, making it easier to store within a truck box or inside the truck cab.Overall length when retracted is 26 inches.Extended length is 40 inches.Pushing down on the latch with your thumb releases the lock pin.Made in the USA.

This is a good pole, but the GT pole is superior and is nearly the same price. So, get that one instead. The quick release connection prevents the roller from turning/loosening and it comes with an adapter for non GT rollers.

I'm not a professional painter, but I've painted a lot on my own and as a former maintenance worker. I've used various extension poles from your basic wood handle to extension poles similar to this design. This Wooster pole is by far my favorite and for a few reasons. It has a comfortable grip end and the rest of the body is comfortable as well. The construction of the pole is very solidly made and they don't wobble when locked into each adjustment position. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to adjust the pole to different lengths while in mid stroke. It's easy because the thumb button is simple and smooth to use, the pole telescopes in and out with ease, and it auto-locks at each adjustment increment.

I do not paint professionally, but I do own a number of rental properties that I maintain, and have had the job of painting them, using many a gallons of paint. A roller extension is a most useful tool for working but most of the models I find lacking. If they do not have a solid metal threaded head, then they are just a cheap--- waste of money, because they will break at this junction within the first day of serious work or shortly after that point. This particular model is as good as you will find because it has a solid metal threaded tip, but if you stress it to breaking ,then Wooster sells a replacement tip, which I think can be replaced easily. I have used this model for several years and it stand up to my abuse-------enough said !!!
