We had to do the flip side for our door. And let me warn you there is this thin strip of metal that falls out when you do that. Directions say nothing about that. But finally got that fixed to stay in place and installed on the door. But it stays in the lock position all the time. So do not close the door when you go outside or else you are locked out. I took it off and tried to fix it multiple times. And every time it goes back to the lock position after a couple of times

Was happy to find this for my trailer as it was such a good deal, Installed it and about 3 days later the bottom part of the metal that the handle attaches to broke right off, the screw didn't break off the housing around the screw broke off, the screw then stripped when I was trying to remove it, it's about 120km away from my trailer at the moment, will have to cut it off with my sawzall that I didn't have with me at the time.Definitely don't recommend this product.

I’m surprised. It fit perfectly in my old metal sliding patio door. It’s very hard to turn the small latch and turn the key at first but after nearly a week both loosened and it’s working nicely.

An exact fit. Replaced the broken one. Had purchased two, to have another replacement. This is the 4th or 5th time the handle broke. The holes where the screws go through are weak. That is true of all handles. Every one I've had has that same weakness. So I suspect this one will fail eventually. That does not make a bad handle. Simply that one must be careful when pulling the door open. Especially when it's froze from ice and water that freezes the door shut. LOL

I give it a 4 as it wasn't the correct fit for my door. It needed some modification however it did fit the mounting holes. When choosing these items one needs as many measurements as possible and also trying to fit an American lock into a french door. Why aren't there common standards?

i like this lock i can now unlock the door from the outside. but i had to leave the old lock on and cut a new hole for the new lock, but the new lock works great now i have two locks on that door. and the reason i cut a new hole the old locks hole was too large for thenew lock.

Wow, this item took not only the cake for low quality, it took the bakery! I don'like having to write bad reviews but this is a personal safety issue so it needs to be said. Indeed, keeping in mind the saying "you get what you pay for" is normally true, that being said, the item I received would be over priced at 3 bucks. When I took it out of the package I could tell right away the quality was severely lacking.I picked the lock with a nail file and there was no challenge. The key little more than a key blank. I installed it anyway then when I put the key in, the entire lock cylinder came back out with it. The keeper is somewhere inside my door. Even if the key were better and the lock cylinder had stayed in the handle, a blow from any hard item would bust the outer housing in my opinion.Unless you just want it to have an extra key on your key ring I would say look for something else. This thing is a $20 joke, unfortunately, the joke's on me.

This door handle/lock assembly is hard to find and i wasn't at all happy with the cheapness of the lock . The handle is good quality but the lock is very cheezy. This should not be used for security by itself!!
