I would only tie a canoe to these on a capm day. I don't think these are very strong. They look nice, but they will not last.

I like that these fold down for a clean look on my heavy peddle kayak. They are a little hard to open up, but I assume that keeps them from making noise from engine and wave action on a powered watercraft. They stay open once you lift them. I made an aluminum backing plate and used the bolts/nuts. These are more than strong enough on my kayak and maybe for temporary mooring on a larger boat, but I would not trust these on my 16’ bow rider and leave it moored for a week. Definitely a good product for a jet ski or small fishing boat. Also good for mounting on a dock for light watercraft. I removed the rigid cleats from my dock and put these where the kayak is parked. No more stubbed toes!
