Very solid. 3.5" square (4x4) fits loosely so need to shim for snug fit. The screws that came with it aren't big enough though. I used 3" screws and this works because the pre-drilled holes are staggered instead of directly facing each other.

Easy to setup but you definitely need 3 people at least. Heavy duty also. Could be a tighter fit for 4x4 wood had gaps on all post. Recommend adding corner 4x4 across to make unit have less wobble. Will be adding 2x4 beams across soon.

I went with the 3-way angle brackets which are made to join the top of the pergola's four corners, giving the structure stability and support. One of the first things I noticed was the heavy-duty, powder-coated black steel used in their construction. The material provides me assurance that they should last for a long time and withstand a variety of weather in addition to resisting rust. My number one concern when it comes to these type of products are the ability to corrode and I am hopeful these will have a long life. The installation procedure is easy for anybody, but make sure you have a helping partner. You can pick up 4x4 posts at your local hardware store that will slide nicely into the sleeves. A pergola can completely changed your outside area. It can create a warm and welcoming area where people can unwind and take in the outdoors. This makes a spectacular area to host events, relax with a book, and more. Even though these brackets are a pretty simple product in terms of functionality, their effectiveness lies in their simplicity. Their fundamental purpose is precisely what makes them a dependable and worthwhile component to any pergola project.

Installed a Pergola over my patio and these brackets worked very well. The brackets are heavy duty, they went on the 4 by 4 boards nicely and there isn't excess play between the brackets and wood. I checked the 90-degree corners with a square that I have, and they are all square at 90 degrees which makes the install process so much easier. Would use these brackets again if I put up another pergola in the future.

I couldn’t believe how heavy these were. These supports will simplify my gazebo project. The hardware and driver tool is also included. The sleeves slide easily over the “wet” 4x4x12s that I just purchased. The posts are stopped by a steel ridge on the inside of the fitting. Hardware is provided to secure the posts to the sleeves. This will give my gazebo a professional look!

These paragon brackets are very well made. They're heavy duty and much better than the ones that I used to make my mom a pavilion. The 4x4 goes in deeper on these than the other ones I have used. As you can see in the picture the welding is very solid. Heavy duty. Great craftsmanship. Although I wished the 2x4 fit a little tighter but I will pull it in with some nuts and bolts when I secure it. My opinion this is probably one of the best brackets on the market. This will be my third paragon and it is definitely the best I have used.
