If you decide to add sand to these, it can be a challenge. The hole is designed for a hose to fill them with water, so you need a funnel to get sand in. The sand clogs in the neck of the funnel so it can be tedious and frustrating. My husband was having a fit filling them and so he didn’t put enough sand in the really weight it down. Despite adding water, if it’s really breezy it doesn’t hold my umbrella very well. If I could figure out a better way to add more sand I’m hoping it will be heavier and work as it should.

I was originally unsure how sturdy this would be for my umbrella. I did as the instructions said and filled each of the four corners with water, and it is perfect! We even had a brief storm the other day and it held the umbrella down! Amazing!

This product is fine, exactly as adverised. I used an oil funnel to help pour in the sand. I wish I had known to inspect my sand bags to make sure the sand was dry in each bag before I bought them. Some of my sand was damp and clumpy and took a long time to put into the weight. The weights are great and kept my umbrella upright during a violent thunderstorm.

This was easy to get ready. We filled with water and plan on dumping the water for the winter. Kept out umbrella up even in a storm

This was the perfect addition to keep my large offset umbrella from falling over. No one told me that I needed this when purchased. Thank goodness I found this.
