It's not very clear from the ad, but you will receive two flanges ($13.59 for both at the time of this writing), perfect for a pool ladder or a closet bar. (measure width) I am using mine for birdhouses because I like the look of a birdhouse on top of the pole rather than hanging off of it.These look well made and the white exterior finish is very pretty. I'm a little dubious about the interior finish, but it will be fine for my use. If it isn't sufficient, of course around a pool that would be the most problematic. Take a look at the photos and decide for yourself.
