I haven't used the item yet, but I have other items from this manufacturer, and I'm sure it will perform as intended. When I received the item, the case was damaged. At first, I thought it was a previously returned item because half of the plastic that sealed the case was ripped, and one of the clasps to keep it closed was broken off. Then I realized it was just poorly packed and probably abused during shipping. It doesn't affect the tool function, but it's annoying when you buy something new, and it arrives damaged.

There’s not really too much to explain for this product it works good for its intended purpose which is removing axles I used this product to remove my front axle which needed to be replaced since your unable to just pull out the axle the way it’s built

Used these on my Volvo XC90 Front Driver side CV Axle today. Actually only needed the beveled tool. Had to remove the plastic shroud on the bottom of the car to get a clean shot at the right spot on the transmission side of the CV axle. A few taps with a 2lb hammer to the bottom of the tool did the trick. Easy!

I bought this kit to work on my truck. Oh boy what a time saver. It is amazing, way better than I thought. Believe me when I say is tough. It removed the Pitman of my GMC truck without bending . If you are a DIY like me this is your tool for a good price.

Automotive mechanic, set is nice has been used a dozen times already, working as described and came in a nice sturdy case. Only rating 4 stars as of now due to not having long, shall see on longevity of the tool but works great so far.

Very good to have should last a life time for the weekend warriors. Don’t think the pro trade mechanic would need these they seem to do it easy with a regular prybar

The LH axle on my R53 Mini needed extra encouragement to come out. The ARES tool is high quality and it was instrumental in popping the axle, but the clearance on the Mini is so tight that you can't use the tool quite as intended. That's a Mini problem, not the tool.

I used ARES products before. They are all well built and these 2-piece axle popper tools are no exception. They are well constructed and came in a neatly packed box too. I used it to remove my front drive axle and it worked well. BTW, I only used the shim for this job. Yes, I would recommend this tool to all DIY'ers who is looking for a cheaper alternative.

just used my new Ares front end service kit! AND WOW! I've been working in the automotive field for more than 30 years. And now have my own repair shop here in Texas. I used the tie rod tool out of this set and it worked great! Just add some grease to the threads first so you don't destroy them and you will be good to go. Very nice set!

I have now used a few of the pullers, or poppers, and the tools work great. I do NOT use an impact wrench. I use a long 1/2" drive breaker bar. I also tap on the joint with a hammer while tightening the bolt and every single joint has popped apart with no damage to the treads or to the boot (if the joint has a boot). Sure beats beating on a Pickle Fork.
