Plug and play unit, works like a factory bluetooth. It lets you switch tracks and answer and end calls on the steering wheels controls and displays the title track on the radio face. Entirely worth the money. Plugs in behind the glove box in the trucks and SUV platforms.

Ordered this to add Bluetooth to an 06 GMC Envoy. Looking at the instructions it appears that I'd lose access to both XM channels. I sent 2 emails to the manufacturer and waited a week for a response to confirm this...never heard from them. Returned the package.

Fantastic product. Very simple install. No need to have it professionally installed if you can locate your XM radio module. Takes longer to route the wires than it does to install. Great sound quality. It's a little pricy in my opinion but $200 just for a new radio atleast and paying someone to hook it up and saves you from having to splice a lot of factory wiring. Still way cheaper than having a whole new radio system installed. Sounds great even with a 19 year old bose factory system. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

I installed this unit into a 2008 C6 Corvette convertible.....it was the easiest install I had done for any component yet. For the convertible I had to lower the roof so that I could remove the "waterfall" plastic between the seats.....When you do this though, put something like a stick or rod in place to prop the tonneau cover or else will slowly lower back in position. There are two torx screws on the top and two plastic clips behind the top bay holding the "waterfall" in place. Lift the "waterfall" up and out of the way and that is where the XM satellite interface is secured to a bracket. I simply secured the BT45 near the bottom of the interface and zip tied it firmly, then unplugged the interface and plugged in the BT45 harness. I then ran the aux. cable and usb cable under the two parts of the console. If you don't need the aux cable and usb, then you don't have to remove or bother with the console at all, just the "Waterfall" covering the interface. Follow the directions on what type of radio you have, set the dip switches to their correct assignment and program the system.....took my 8 minutes total, but read and follow the directions carefully. Before I started I switched my XM radio presets to XM2, that way XM1 was free to program to Bluetooth. System connected to my phone as soon as I set it up to pair, I now have access to voice control through "Alexa" and I can use Pandora. Calls are clear and everything sounds fantastic through the car's Bose system. Great product, wish I hadn't waited so long before getting it.The reason for 4 stars is because it only supports one bluetooth device at a time.......

I installed it in my 2006 Vette. As someone else mentioned another good option was the Costar / Bluestar to work with the factory Onstar. You CAN stream music from your device to the Costar using it's Bluetooth function, BUT you need an Aux Input on the car's stereo to feed the signal from the Costar into the stereo. The 2005 through 2010 Vette Nav stereos did not have an Aux input. (FYI, some guys change the Nav head unit on the older C6 Vettes to a 2011 to 2013 head unit. This will give you USB ad Aux input but still no Bluetooth or hands free phone features). So this BT45 gave me the handsfree phone option which is impressively good quality. In fact the call quality for both the caller and the receiver is the best of anything aftermarket I’ve used. Close to factory sound quality. Road noise in Vettes is NOT low, and I can be heard at the “other end” clearly!Installation was easy but time consuming. Plug and Play.I installed an Aux input jack and USB charging port also. All of which, including the Bluetooth audio work well too. This won’t give you OEM features of the brand new head head units in today’s vehicles or aftermarket stereos, but if you want to retain your factory head unit as I did, I believe it’s a great option.Someone asked the question about why the console didn't have to come out. Unlike some other units on the market this device does not tie in at the head unit (stereo). It ties in at the XM box. I REALLY liked this idea as I didn't want to disturb the dash area, possibly creating rattles. In a C6 of my vintage the XM unit is behind the drivers seat in the cargo area. The instructions tell you where to locate it.I did, however, remove the console so that I could install a USB / Aux input. I have attached a picture.I am going to get a similar unit by USA Spec for my 2008 F150 also. All in all very pleased.
