Arrived in perfect condition. It was packaged in large box with brown paper and in a bubble wrap bag. It came with three keys, which is great because I lose or misplace keys all time.SkunkLock was recommended from the dealer when I bought a Basalt E-bike. The bike is great and even though this lock is a pretty penny, I was told it will keep my bike secure. So far, it looks good, heavy enough to mean business, and definitely not easily approachable. I know my MokWheel bike will be safe when I am out and about this spring and summer.

The lock end caps completely blew apart and the whole lock assembly disengaged from the outer barrel after a 3’ drop when it rolled off onto a smooth concrete floor. Now the lock is useless. The lock was never tampered with as it was never used in public space. The double keying feature which is supposed to add security but makes you have to work to keep getting the stars aligned to get the key into keyhole could also be a problem for many. Clearly though, the manufacturing quality of the end caps is the reason for the failure. I reached out to customer support to no avail. Save yourself and your bike from this gimmicky shoddy lock and expense.

The Carbon Angle Grinder Resistant Deterrent U Lock is a standout in the world of bike security. Built with cutting-edge materials, it offers an unparalleled level of protection against theft attempts, even those involving angle grinders. The lock feels solid and robust. Its weight and thickness inspire confidence, making it clear this is not a lock to be tampered with easily. Despite its heavy-duty build, the lock is user-friendly. While the heavy build is a positive in terms of security, it does make the lock quite heavy to carry around, especially for cyclists who prioritize lightweight gear. This lock is an investment. Its premium features come with a higher price tag compared to standard U locks.

Best lock in its class. My fiancé has been wanting this lock for some time now. Sadly it did come in broken. One of the end caps is broken. In fully functioning condition this would be perfect but I’m wondering that even after a replacement will the end caps break but after my 30 day warranty is up because looking at other reviews that seems to be a unfortunate trend. Overall great design, easy to use.

This lock definitely is expensive but considering that thieves are now using angle grinders and considering how much crazy stuff is happening in the US and NYC right now I'm glad I made this purchase. It's a really thick lock like twice as thick as the big Kryptonite U lock. It's got a good space in the middle so you don't have to think super hard to lock your bike. It's a little heavy but if you're riding an e bike I 100% recommend this as the price is a little better than other anti angle grinder locks and this lock physically looks tough as a good deterrent.

Update: Skunklock replied in the middle of the night ridiculously fast. The issue with broken end caps arriving is due to Amazon fulfillment. This is an understandably frustrating issue all around being caused by the packaging after the items reach Amazon. Prompt customer service, very kind and personable. Makes all of the difference in an uncompromising predicament.------------I've had my bike stolen before. Thankfully it was recovered, but many were not so fortunate. I ride e-bikes now, which means I have thousands of dollars of equipment being attached to various fixtures outside with the need to ensure security at all times.Skunklock is one of the most innovative security tools in its class. I've had my eyes on it for a while, so I'm excited to receive it and test it over time. I have large u-locks that are heavy and smaller locks with a cable and a fabric covered chain lock yet there is always a reason to add another. The lock would likely be too heavy to transport on the average bike, but on an e-bike I don't factor in weight to my ride. The lock is heavy, it more than makes up for the weight with the lock's strength and quality, the sturdiness, the functionality, and the size.Ideally a lock would be small to keep the weight down and allow more space for other items, but in this case, the functionality supersedes the burden of writing with it.In the past my locks have had issues with the base of the lock being hard plastic and susceptible to cracking or being broken. I've had issues with the key jamming or not operating a smoothly or getting stuck. These symptoms of lock integrity failure don't appear until many uses in usually, ideally not ever, so I'll aim to provide an update on these features.A U-lock is the strongest defense against theft, so combined with the spraying deterrent, I feel very confident that, outside of the general susceptibility to manipulation of a lock and the internal pins inside, it is a bold choice for security and peace of mind. 🦨🔒Unfortunately, it arrived with one of the end caps broken with the pieces in the box. There was a small amount of paper for insulation but I'll have to reach out to customer support to determine next steps as this is an expensive product to receive broken.

This is a very well-built product, I have never paid so much for a bike lock before, even my friends and family were like "wow that's very expensive for a lock". I had to explain to them it's carbon metal. So I decided to make this purchase because just like everybody else who wants a good strong secure lock. I have a fat tire bike and this fits perfectly in the front tire in between the frame all the way through I just really wish there was a bike bracket to mount the lock, otherwise you have to either find somewhere on your bike to lock it ride it with you, or if you have a cargo rack in the back you can place it there no problem. So far I feel very calm leaving my bike for a few minutes locked up knowing that either someone's going to have to pick it up to take it and it's pretty heavy or spend time trying to cut it off going through many discs. Also I almost forgot to mention the lock housing is made out of plastic I'm not sure that will be durable, maybe it's susceptible to vulnerability, not sure but the lock mechanism housing looks pretty weak.
