With the range of different forks I was able to find one that fit my Mercedes lower control arm. The product worked like a champ.

I got a chance to use it for the first time today. I used to remove a drag link, and also the tie rod. It worked great. Alot lighter, more compact, and requires less force to operate than the tool I was using before. I thought I'd need the 32mm end, but I was wrong. However, this kit includes a 36mm end, and it fit perfectly. This was on a 2013 New Flyer transit bus with the M-A-N front axle.

Scheint es zu sein wie erwartet. Nach dem ersten harten Einsatz wird sich zeigen ob es so ist, habe da bei dem Hersteller keine Bedenken da anderes Werkzeug bisher auch hielt wie erwartet.

The tool worked well once I got it fully seated on the lower front ball joint of a 2001 Acura MDX. I had to remove the brake caliper assembly to better align the tool. The forked/slotted "yoke" was a little too thick to push in by hand, as it was touching the lower control arm when partially inserted (i.e. the space between the wheel knuckle and the control arm was less than the thickness of the tool). I needed to hammer in the "yoke" (much like a "pickle fork") to get it well seated, then all was well.I have to warn that the tool I received did not match the description. The tool was supposed to have a 31 mm "yoke", but instead it has a 32 mm piece, which many similar tools have. I returned the first one I received because of this, but its replacement was also with 32, no 31. I decided to make do with the 32 rather than enter a perpetual cycle of returning and reordering. My order was fulfilled by Amazon - I don't know if the fault likes with Amazon or with the seller, but I hope my feedback on the inventory can help resolve it.

good quality but the separator is made with the bolt ends facing towards engine. It is hard to explain but was 100% useless with my 1995 impala tie rod ends. It would be a 1 start but is good quality

Easy to use, feel heavy duty. Popped ball joints with 1/2 in ratchet. Made replacing lower control arms easy.

Spent agonizing days hammering my pickle fork and using various tricks to try separate the ball joint from the lower control arm. Was contemplating getting my car towed to a shop but ordered this instead. The regular store ball joint separators do not fit a 2003 chevy suburban, this product is big enough to do the job on this chevy. Saved my arse for sure. Great product at a great price

First tool I bought was a different kind of ball joint separator and could not get the job done. Several tries almost broke the tool, so I bought another tool. But the second tool was too small for the job and would not fit into the ball joint. Finally I got this kit. Good thing is that it comes in different sizes. The 31mm fit the ball joint snuggly. This tool got 2 ball joints to pop out in less than 15 minutes.Following the instructions provided on the product description. Please keep a safe distance and turn slowly. If you have an old ball joint that has not been removed before, this tool will separate it easily but will release a lot of energy when it pops. So be careful
