It dumped my bike. Luckily it was on a slightly bumpy backroad trail and didn't cause an accident.The quick release arms bent out and opened. Didn't help that the tube is slightly small for my carrier and rotated a little. However, the design is not very safe as it can fail so easily. The attached picture shows how it failed.Please do not use this and cause an accident on the highway.

Tiedown bar works great. Always have a hard time tying down my wife’s bike. This made it very easy.

At first I thought it was on the loose side and would workBut, it does work and I'm please with itThe only reason for taking a star away was there was no way of tightening the bar once expanded to the correct length.

Vertical closure arm is interfered with on some bikes of our grandchildren. Horizontal arm is preferred. Also its length is not spring retained.
