Love this lens hood, it works well on three of my older Fujinon lenses. I wish it was less expensive as then I would buy one or two more. Fits the bayonet mount perfectly.

Like many people have reported, the metal "crushed can" lens hood Fuji included with my 35mm f1.4 lens has loosened up over time and the rubber cap fails to stay on. I tried an earlier version of a Haoge metal hood for this lens but that was shallow and too wide so I returned it. This newer version is perfect. It fits snuggly, is very streamlined, and the felt-lined round metal cap stays on solidly and is quick to remove with a gentle twist. The camera is also much easier to slip into a bag with the slight taper and smooth metal finish. I was very pleased with the same design used for the latest 16mm f1.4 and 56mm f1.2 WR hoods so I was pleased to see it finally implemented for this classic lens. Expensive for a hood, but it won't be leaving my lens!

I am using this on my Fuji 60mm. I works great and much easier to travel with than the traditional lens hood Fuji provides.

Much better built than the fuji stock hood for the 35 1.4R but the hood slightly wobbles on the lens in comparison to the stock hood.

I have had it for less than a month and the material inside the lens cap is peeling. The lens cap doesn't stay on at all now.I've heard great things about this brand and hope my product was defective. Anyone else have a solution to this?

I lost the original Fuji hood that came with the lens, so I decided to try this one since the price was much cheaper. This hood is at least as good as the original Fuji one. I think it is even slightly better made. It fits nice and tight and absolutely zero wobbling. This is all metal made hood and cap, so the quality of the material feels great and this hood should last for ages. I keep this hood all the time on the lens.

I'm very impressed with these Haoge hoods! This one is the equal of the Fujifilm product, at a significant savings (though it's still an expensive item.) It fits perfectly and the quality of construction is flawless. As mentioned, I used this to replace the HUGE hood that comes with the Fujifilm 60mm f2.4 Macro. Fits the lens like a glove, and is frankly a little higher quality than the Fuji original.Yes, it's expensive — but have you priced the Fujifilm equivalent?

I lost the original Lens Hood and am very pleased with this replacement - I thought it was a tad expensive but when I received the item I found it was definitely worth the price.

I was so tired of the rubber cap keeps falling down to the dirt from Fuji made lens hood on my 35mm f1.4 lens, so I searched Amazon for alternative and found this lens hood made by Haoge. Overall build quality is good and it does solve my problem; the metal cap that comes w/ the lens hood attached to the hood securely and is not going to fall off easily, at least for now, not sure if the cap will loosen up after long period of on/off the hood. The hood itself is shorter than the Fuji lens hood and the finish is matte finish; I kind of prefer the shinning look/finish of Fuji one. Overall, I think the Haoge LH-X538 is a decent lens hood, especially if you are struggling w/ Fuji rubber cap keep falling off the lens hood.

Despite one review saying this hood doesn't fit the Fuji 18/2, mine fits well. It's a good bit on the tight side going on but this guarantees it will not come loose easily. I specifically bought this hood for my 18mm and I'm very pleased with it.I have replaced most of the Fuji hoods on my Fujinon lenses with these Hoage square metal hoods. They are low profile and well made and of a much better design than any of the Fuji hoods, even the optional and very expensive Fuji hoods I was using for the 23/2, 35/2 and the 23/1.4 lenses.I really hate using lens hoods that are shaped like dinner plates or cannon barrels. They bump on everything, draw attention to the shooter and many times fall off after getting loose from a few bumps. The Hoage hoods seem sturdy and should last for many years of use.
