With USB, it's practical - don't need a cigar lighter plug with USB.

The product is fine, but is expensive compared to other similar products. This came stock on my trailer. It fried when we reversed the parity on the battery, so be aware it is not protected by fuse or otherwise. I paid the higher price because it was an exact replacement, so installation was easier. If I was doing a new installation, I would choose a different product for about 1/2 the cost.

Bought this to upgrade the 12v outlet in camper. This would replace the standalone cigarette lighter plug and add two USBs. Have only tested the 12v port and it worked beautifully with a 12v car vacuum. Have not yet tested the USB ports. A lot of reviews say those ports didn't work... I will test and update. But for now it looks good, and was a very easy install.

Initially, I bought only one to put in my trailer because there was no convenient location to charge our phones when not connected to shore power. The 12v plug was just a bonus. I installed this quickly and used a Leviton plate to complete the install. The USB outlets work great. I didn't take the time to see how fast they charge but usually we leave our phones or tablets on the charger over night. The 12v outlet we now use to charge our Dyson cordless vacuum or to power or SiriusXM radio.I liked the one so much, that I ended up purchasing three more. I placed two in our trailers bedroom and the other in the outdoor kitchen area. We primarily dry camp so having some extra outlets that operate on DC power is a bonus for us. These fit that bill! Oh, and they do have a little green power light that can not be turned off. I thought it may have been distracting in the bedroom, but turns out it isn't. If someone is really sensitive to the green light, a black sharpie could take care of the issue.
