Perfect fit, had a little bit of a challenge getting the old one out due to the core of it disintegrated, a little patience and it all worked out.

Replaced it, fired up the motor, ran a bit rough for about a minute, then smoothed out. The old original Mercury part lasted 13 years, I don't like the fact that Mercury knows these things won't last longer, when mine went bad it pushed fuel out into the motor compartment and scared the crap out of me, makes for a big fire hazard and or a bomb, keep an eye on yours as it ages!!

The sensor was solid and installed easy. Once installed it worked great. The reason I had to replace the old sensor was due to the insides dissolving from 20 years of service.
