I have an older Rainpoint system with a hub that allows me to see and alter watering remotely. Now 2 years old, that system continues to work nicely. However with new plants going in I needed to add more capability and decided to deploy the newer smart water timer .... this has the brass inlet which some will prefer. The new unit arrived (without a hub) and I was easily able to set up everything via bluetooth and my smart phone. I was however surprised by two issues. First the new unit would not pair with my older hub. That meant no remote control. If you are always in bluetooth range, that might not matter to you but it does to me. Second one needs to download a new rainpoint app to run the new unit. So now I have two rainpoint apps on my smartphone, one running the old system and one running the new system. Some will not like that. Now back to the first issue....I ordered another of the new units with the new hub. The installation instructions for adding bluetooth were fine and soon I had the two new units working on the new app. But no matter what I did I was unable to attach the new units to the new hub and the specific installation instructions (to me) were vague. So I emailed rainpoint and to my amazement within one day I had an answer back with clear instructions. Right after that I was online with both the new units. The new app adds a little more flexibility to the watering cycles etc that some folks will like/prefer. Overall with the few caveats noted above it was a 5 star experience

I've been using the RAINPOINT Smart Water Timer for two weeks, and it has exceeded my expectations. The installation was straightforward, and the brass inlet adds a nice touch of durability. I recently purchased this 2-zone outdoor water hose timer, and it has completely my watering routine. This timer is incredibly user-friendly, featuring an easy to use app that make programming simple even for beginners. With the ability to schedule watering for two separate zones, I can easily manage my garden and lawn without the hassle of switching hoses or worrying about overwatering. It seems durable with the brass fitting so I'm hoping it will hold up for several summers. Overall, this water hose timer has saved me a lot of time and effort. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to streamline their outdoor watering system!

I recently upgraded to this Bluetooth version of the RainPoint Smart Water Timer, and I’m impressed. The Bluetooth Quick Connection feature is a significant improvement, especially since it makes the product more affordable compared to the hub-required version. The connection is stable within the advertised range (up to 196 feet), which works perfectly for my apartment patio garden.The Dual Programmable Zones are another excellent feature, allowing you to set up to 6 watering schedules per zone. It’s been great for managing different watering needs efficiently.While the Bluetooth capability does have its limitations—you need to be within range—I didn’t find this to be too inconvenient. However, if you have a large property, you might want to consider the hub version for broader coverage.One thing to note is that this model is noticeably larger than the older one, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. Overall, it's a solid product that I’d recommend, especially for those with smaller gardens or patio setups.

As a standalone unit this 2 Zone Smart Water Timer (HTV210B) works well, and does what it's supposed to do. I like the brass inlet, which won't crack or break over time. It connects to your phone by Bluetooth, but can also be controlled by wifi, if you add a wifi hub that’s not included. Already owning another Rainpoint timer with wifi hub, I figured the HTV210B would be a good addition to my system.Unfortunately, it seems that Rainpoint does not make their wifi hubs cross-compatible with the different timers they sell. I already owned the Rainpoint wifi hub (TWG004WRF) that comes with the Rainpoint 2 Zone wifi irrigation water timer (TTV203WRF). I have not been able to pair the HTV210B timer with the TWG004WRF hub however. To be fair, according to the box, the HTV210B time pairs with the HWG009WB hub, which I do not own. So, it seems that I can’t integrate this timer with the Rainpoint wifi setup that I already have.The other issue that took me a long time to figure out is that there are 3 different Rainpoint apps. The app that controls the TTV203WRF and TWG004WRF doesn’t work with the HTV210B. Once I finally figured out that I needed to install another Rainpoint app it was very easy to add and pair the HTV210B to my phone. But its annoying that I can’t control both timers from the same app, and especially that I need to buy a separate wifi hub for each timer.

I've been using the Rainpoint Smart Water Timer for a while now, and it's been a great addition to my garden/yard. This handy gadget lets me control my watering manually or remotely through Bluetooth, which is super convenient.The feature I love most is being able to set a watering schedule. This means I can go on vacation and not worry about my plants. They'll still get their water exactly when they need it. It's a game-changer!I have a few Bonsai plants, and they need water often. With this water timer, they're always hydrated, and they've never looked better.Lastly, I trust Rainpoint products, and this water timer is no exception. It's durable with great quality works really well. If you're a garden enthusiast like me, you'll appreciate this product. All I can say is, my plants and I are loving it! 🌱🪴🌳
