Low output and will NOT match up well with Bridge humbucker (unless it a low output one, even then it may not). Bass notes are tight and focused and well pronounced (something that Dimarzio single coil rail pickups seem to lack). Highs are not harsh and pickup is well balanced, not muddy. Seymour Duncan categorized the output for this pickup on their web site as Vintage (NOT medium NOT Hot). The DCR rating is misleading and its output is that of a vintage single coil (maybe slightly hotter but not it's not even close to medium). Replacing the STK-S2 Neck with the STK-S2 Bridge hoping it will balance better with the Bridge Humbucker. I like this pickup do to its single coil characteristic as I did not want a humbler sounding single coil. Pickup may lack some of that sweet chimeyness of a non-hum cancelling single coils but even though it still sounds nice.

I have two of these on my Ibanez sa160qm. One in neck position and one in Middle position. They really brought this thing to life it's right there on point with my Les Paul now. I highly recommend these pick ups not to mention they look pretty sexy as well

What can I say? I've been using these pickups in my strats for years... I love the sound and noise suppression.. A quality product for sure.

Put this Lil bad boy in the middle on my custom Ibanez. She screams, but cleans up very nicely. Depending how you wire it, many options available here. Great pickup and a excellent price!

Good pickup for neck or middle position on a Strat-type guitar. My project is a custom Tele-style guitar with 3 pickups. I was inspired to try this pickup by Brent Mason's use of its predecessor in his famous grey primer Tele. At first, I installed one in the middle position but liked it well enough to install a second in the neck position as well. It's a quiet moderately-high output pickup with single-coil tone. It is a stacked humbucker, not a single-coil pickup. Good choice.

If you wire with the series/split/parallel schematic, you will get three different pickups.Real clean and warm sound.I recommend you wire with that schematic.
