  • Vintage-voiced Hum-free Telecaster Bridge Pickup

Our unique noiseless Stack design keeps all the classic Telecaster twang and bite without the hum. This vintage output stack delivers classic lead tone, with all of the bright Tele twang, but none of the traditional single coil noise. The highs have a nice sparkle, and the low end is snappy and articulate the way it should be. The output is straight up vintage, making this a great choice for layers who need to eliminate the hum, but without sacrificing true Tele lead tone. Match with our Vintage Rhythm Stack for a completely noiseless setup. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Vintage Lead Stack uses alnico 5-rod magnets, a 4-conductor lead wire, and is wax potted for squeal free operation.

I was sick of the hum from the bridge pickup in my Fender Road Worn Telecaster. The stock pickup wasn't bad, but it was a bit too noisy for home recording. So, after experimenting with DiMarzio Area T's - and finding them okay, but not great - I decided to give the Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack pickups a go. I love the STK-T1N neck pickup in the vintage stack. Unfortunately, I'm not as over the moon with the STK-T3B bridge pickup. It's solid, and definitely a notch above the Area T bridge pickup, just not quite up to the standard of the Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack neck pickup in my opinion. That's why I've given it a 4 instead of a 5.

I swapped this into a single pickup paulownia tele' and the sound was markedly improved. It sounds great in series and in parallel, and in addition to that, it adds so much versatility to the instrument if you're working with a simple setup. If you're thinking about it, you should do it.

Just what i was looking for. A hum cancelling tele bridge pickup with vintage style pole peices not rails. Although i first considered a hot rails for tele, i perfer the look of a vintage pickup better. Sounds awesome and looks the part too! I installed it on my squier esquire with stock pots and all. I can't tell if i have in phase or not. I just wired it as sd suggested to the hot and ground from original pickup. So that is bare and green together to ground, red and white together and taped back, and black to lead(hot). It is hum free, but i can't tell if it is "quacky" or not. I only wonder because i soldered a humbucker to a strat with the same method and the "split" position where it is the humbucker one coil and middle pickup together still hum cancelling like the stock sss bridge/midle position(2 or 4, however you say it), is too quiet and the humbucker by itself doesn't sound as "full" as the stock sc. I switched the wiring from the humbucker as sd suggests for installing in fenders and the pickup was dead so i put it back they way i had it and it workd but like i said, quacky and extra quiet split position that makes me unhappy.

It looks like a Tele pickup, and it sounds like a Tele pickup, with all the bite and snarl you could want (especially when paired with a vintage-style bridge and brass saddles). The only thing missing is the irritating hum. Don't think it can't be boutique quality just because it's not from a guy you never heard of: Seymour Duncans are workhorse pickups that deliver the tune.

I was Upgrading my MIM Fender bridge pickup. I already have a les Paul so I want my tele to sound like a tele but needed a pickup that was able to stand up to my Marshall tube amp. This does it in spades - takes distortion very well and cleans up quickly with the volume knob. Very well rounded pickup. The only negative is the micro gauge of wire that they use makes it tedious to install and to strip.
