I purchased a number of similar products over the years, but this is the first time I have to complain. These units are very noisy while the other brands worked excellent for their purpose.

SO LOUD! Tried what the other reviewer suggested and took plastic covers off but that didn't help. Returning for a quieter version.

These are horribly loud, even if you take the plastic off as other reviewers suggested. Also, no instructions included, which is fine for someone with experience, but what about beginners who've never used an air pump before? what if they put the motor part in the water and plugged it in? dangerous.However, if you know what youre doing and don't mind the noise, I suppose its a good deal for quarantine or other emergency situations..

This is the quietest air pump I have. It's not SUPER strong, it supports one small air stone. I tried to run a small sponge filter on it and it didn't really have the power for that, but this is a great accessory to run extra air, have as a backup, and keep your plugs a little bit freed up.

I honestly didn't expect much from these air pumps given their size and price, but they're actually quite strong! Fantastic to have on hand for small tanks, but also nice to have in case you need something for an emercency, since it's powered by USB it's portable.Basically comes with what you need: airhose (though quite cheap and comes with kinks, but it didn't struggle when I tried it), airstone (decent size!) and a plastic hook so you can hang the pump somewhere. Came in handy when my fish decided to throw some eggs my way unexpectedly and the fry started hatching by the time I found it. Popped this in the fry tank I set up. Wonderful!Given the size I can see this also work wonderfully for different DIY projects honestly.

Seems great, we'll see how long it lasts. A lot quieter if you pull apart the plastic and remove it leaving the motor bare.
