This is a very basic molded dog dish. At this price it might actually be overpriced for this simply piece of plastic. Still, it does do the job.For a small dog it's neither too shallow nor too deep. The "crevices" are wide enough so the dog doesn't need to inhale to get kibble out of them (which is a danger with some slow feeders). It can be easily washed and it does have little "feet" so it doesn't slide too much (though the dish still does slide around some because it's quite lightweight and the "feet" are tiny.Does the job despite being slightly over-priced.

Meh. Very disappointed. Was hoping this would either fit in the bigger stainless bowl I already had or stay firmly on the ground during dinner time but alas, neither worked. It slides across the floor and is too big for the food holder or for the stainless bowl as an insert. Will have to find another option.

While I didn't have a 5 star experience, that was due to me not reading before ordering. I had looked up cat slow feeder bowls and just got this one because it showed up, but this is definitely meant for dogs. The size of it makes it hard for my cat to attempt to eat (and not even in a slow feeder way), but I think it would work perfectly for medium sized dogs! It's well made, a nice color, and has great function. It just didn't work for me.

I feel like it’s growing on me the more I use it.At first I was SHOCKED by the size. It says “small to medium” dogs but it’s easily twice the size of my current slow feeder bowl. (For reference I have a 7lb yorkie). The food pic shows her 1/4c or so of food that she gets 2x a day. (It will hold QUITE a bit more). She doesn’t push it around but I have it on the carpeted mat. But on the hardwood it seemed pretty sturdy even with just the little tiny feet. I do feel like it took her a little longer to eat from this one. Maybe it is better to be a little larger than the one I had been using. It’s a great value as it’s 1/3 of the price of my other ones. She didn’t seem to mind the change.I’d definitely say give it a shot! It’s inexpensive, worth a try!

We have a 7yo pitty who chews every morsel of his food 10 times before swallowing, but our new boxer puppy inhales her entire bowl in one gulp. I don’t think she even tastes or enjoys the food because she inhales it so fast. Then… she paced around looking for more food because her meal disappeared so quick. With this slow feeder bowl, it certainly made her think twice and she actually had to work for each morsel. For a puppy, this slow feeder bowl is a bit big and quite deep so she really has to maneuver to get her food. As she gets bigger; I think it’ll be the perfect size for her going forward. For now, she’s eating puppy kibble soaked in water, but when she’s fully grown, she’ll switch over to our homemade dog food which is wet.I think this bowl will work for either wet or dry food, so it’s perfect.

Nice to have a smaller version to try on my little terrier mix. He insists on complicating his eating experience nearly every meal, in order to make it more enriching - so we have tried an array of snuffle mats and puzzle bowls. I like the simplicity of this one. my only critique is that some of the features stand REALLY proud of the others and seems like it could put the feature in the eye of a smaller breed, as they try to engage the food and features closer to the base of the bowl. Hopefully it simply serves as a another challenge for them to enjoy solving.

This might be a good option for older dogs that still tend to scarf down their food, but the puppy INHALED his food as he does with a normal bowl. We tried another slow feeder bowl that was deeper and that was the trick. This bowl is still good but slightly above a licking mat rather than a real effective slow feeder. We do like the width of the bowl and if it had been taller/deeper….it would be the best one out there! The silicone material is good quality and cleans easily. The quality for the value is good and dog’s enjoy anything that makes the feeding last longer!
