Building on Rainier, Olympia implements an upgraded cantilever assembly that reduces moving mass, translating to more nimble groove tracing, extended nuance, and expanded frequency response. A slight decrease in output from Rainier reduces noise in an already-quiet design, improving imaging and perpetuating realism that’s rare to come by in this class of cartridge.

Ich habe bei meinem Project T2W diese Nadel verbaut. Ein riesen Unterschied zur originalen. Ein absolutes Muss bei diesem Laufwerk. Auch der Preis ist super.

The diamond stylus (needle) is attached to the end of the cantilever (aluminum stem). If the cantilever is not straight, the needle will not track as it should in the record groove. This can reduce fidelity of the music, and in my case, the cantilever came bent so the stylus was defective. I returned it.

nice dynamics and soundstage depth. FR wise, seems a bit recessed or rolled off which made things unbalanced in relation to the rest of my system. easy to install but cantilever was a bit crooked.

I upgraded the stylus in my Sumiko Rainier cartridge to this Olympia replacement and I have been enjoying an improvement in soundstage, tonal range and especially velvety, richer bass. Best upgrade I could have made.
