I bought these because I knew they would fit around my large legs. Unfortunately, the velcro failed after the 3rd day. These cannot withstand any debris. You cannot wear them in moderate to harsh situations. They will not last and not worth the money.

Bottom line: These are the most comfortable knee pads I’ve used, and I’ve used lots of them over the years.Comfort in a knee pad assumes that they stay in place whether on my knees or walking to the next kneeling location. Most designs I’ve used creep down onto my shins as I walk, but because these strap both above and below the knee, there is zero creep. And this arrangement puts less pressure behind my knee as I’m kneeling, which also aids comfort.The outer knee-cap cover is of a soft pliable material that also adds to comfort, but I was initially concerned that, because it is soft, it might wear through. I suppose that may happen — eventually — but so far, so good. I’ve been laying tile on rough exterior concrete, and the outer caps are holding up much better than I expected. I’m no longer worried about durability.The included stuff sack was welcome lagniappe. It keeps these knee pads from getting tangled with other gear in my tool buckets, and it keeps the two pads together. No more getting to a work site and finding only one knee pad.Given that comfort increases productivity — especially when it comes to knee pads — I consider these a wise investment.Hope this helps. I didn't rate them highly because, while they were comfortable, they kept slipping down. I had them in extreme circumstances as I was planking through my tight crawlspace to level our house. When I got these, I went back under the houst to finish the job... What a difference! These stayed in place the whole time without having to adjust once! Very comfortable. The only reason they don't have 5 stars is that they seem a bit expensive. But! I sure am glad I got them because 4 hours under the house wouldn't have been doable without them.My ratings system:5 stars...... I'm blown away by quality & value... a must buy! (I rarely give this)4 stars..... Pleasantly surprised, better than expected3 stars..... as advertised, got what I expected, any pros/cons balanced2 stars..... a little disappointed, I had hoped for better1 star ..... avoid, waste of time and money, junk (I rarely give this)

These knee pads are a far step up from the foam pads they replaced. They strap in place both above and below the knee with broad hook-and-loop strips on the front of the pads and have leathery wear pads on the elastic fabric. The knee pads are designed left and right, but user’s choice as to which pad is left and which is right. A foam knee cushion is zipped inside the pads.Wearing the pads over pants does feel a bit sloppy and they can slip down, but not so much as my prior pair. They are quite suitable for use with shorts. I certainly appreciate the relative softness of these pads with my old knees, especially when working on the floor, or the car, or construction… I would add gardening but I would rather keep these beauties for indoor tasks.Full disclosure: I ordered these Hmyl Easy Super Soft Knee Pads for Work through the Amazon Vine program. I've been wearing the previous version of these Hyml knee pads, which do not have the upper thigh strap, for well over a year now, and they still look new and are holding up very well. The synthetic leather covering is very durable, much moreso than I expected, and they do stay clean. Often other knee pads I've worn tend to collect smelly water, dog hairs, and all kinds of stuff, but these do not. I also love the way the velcro straps extend all the way across the front. That way they never come loose.However, those older kneepads have had a tendency to fall down when walking, and move around when crawling on the floor, especially when wearing pants. Because of that, when I saw this new version with the upper thigh strap, I immediately ordered them.Well, after wearing these for the past 4 days, installing dishwashers and hooking up sinks, I absolutely love them! These are the most comfortable knee pads I've ever used, and the extra thigh strap really puts them over the top. I spend a lot of time on the floor sitting on my feet, and they are very comfortable, and do not restrict circulation. In fact because of the upper thigh strap, all of the straps can be left a little bit looser than normal, and the material is very soft. Even walking from the jobsite to my truck many times, they do not fall down, which always has been a problem with most knee pads I've used in the past.I've also tried these with shorts, and they are very comfortable on skin. Depending on the length of your shorts, the upper strap can either go under the shorts, or on top of them.So whether you're a professional tradesman, or work around your home and garden, I highly recommend these improved Hmyl knee pads. They are a bit pricey at $55 when I ordered them, but considering how well my other ones are lasting, I think they are well worth the asking price. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
