High precision hank drum:

This 5-inches hank drum has 8 tones in C diatonic scale. Smaller tone ranges are easy to get started for a more pleasant experience. Each note is precisely manufacturing tuned with a minor tolerance of only 10 cents. Be careful, accidental drop will make it out of tune, as the tongues will get deformation by falling from heights.

It comes with sticker notes (can be removed if you want) that assist you to distinguish the notes with ease. These are not essential, but it is very helpful for beginners to identify the notes. The notes might fall off during use, so keeping the transparent stickers on the top of the notes as where they are prolongs the service time. 2 sets of alternative note stickers are provided for replacement.

2 ways of playing:

You can use your fingers to play the steel tongue drums, and you can also use mallets or finger picks. However, if you tap the drum with fingers, you will get weak sounds that the drum do not produce a lot of reverb and sustain. Playing with fingers is hard and requires much more technique that you have to strike it with enough power. So you are recommended to play it with mallets to get more resonance and a louder sound. It can produce surprising volume considering its small size. There are 3 silicone feet on the bottom side to keep it stabilized when playing.

This drum is small but beautiful in sounds. My daughter who is 5 has sensory issues and she loves music, especially soft sounds. I just knew she would love this and honestly, it's like a gift for both of us because I would love to play it as well. She lit up when I started playing it for her. It comes with a cool little carrying case as well

Nicht nur die Farbe der Zungentrommel ist hübsch, auch die Tasche dazu gefällt mir sehr, am Tragegurt ist sogar extra eine kleine weitere Tasche mit Reißverschluss angebracht, hier konnte ich die Schläger unterbringen. Auch ohne große Ahnung von Musik habe ich auf Anhieb nette Melodien erzeugt, mir gefällt alles außerordentlich gut 👍

Great bag that has a pocket in the strap pad and another on the case. The drum is nice looking with a full scale but you must hit each tongue in just the right spot to get a pure sound; highest notes are very tinny sounding but will sound clearly when you cover all the other tongues with your hand—not ideal. This is more of a toy and the sound might not facilitate meditation, but the tuning seems good enough for playing a tune. The drum itself is sturdy. Three stars for sound, four stars for case and product appearance.
