Temperature Range

High hardness premium solid brass with thick wall, more durable than iron and iron galvanized pipe fittings. Premium brass can withstand up to 250°F.

11

Maximum Pressure

Made of high-quality brass, good toughness, strong impact resistance, and maximum working pressure of 230psi.

11

High Quality

Precisely milled, threads are tighter and deeper, not easy to slip, smooth threads will reduce the resistance during installation.

11

Easy Use

Easy disassembly, no need for flaring tools. For better sealing, we suggest that all fittings must be used with teflon tape.

Seems well made. Works when used with a pump. Happy

This is the second brass check valve I have used from this distributor. It checks all of the boxes and the door swings freely as it should. The threads were milled properly and so far, no issues.

It seems to work as advertised. This one is different from others I have used in the past. In that it has what appears to be a nylon disc being used as a seal with the flapper. I would think this would allow a better seal than brass on brass if pressures on both sides were close to the same. Not being spring loaded, it takes less pressure for medium to pass through (it does not have to overcome a spring). So for low pressure use, these will work when other types will not.Seems well made, not as heavy/thick as older versions. But that is to be expected. As long as it continues to do the job, I am happy with it and would recommend it.

The GASHER Brass Check Valve DN40 1-1/2" with Female Threads is installed on a sump pump to prevent water from flowing back into the pump. This check valve is 100percent Brass. The valve is perfectly machined and is holding back the water as it should. I recommend the GASHER check valves for use with sump pumps.

This is an all brass fitting with a nylon piece attached to the flapper. It uses ¾” FNPT on both ends. Water goes in one side and pushes the flapper that opens easily. When there is negative pressure on the fill side it pulls the flap closed preventing water or liquid from flowing back to the source. A simple design that works. If for some reason you need to clean this out you can use the top port for that. The box comes with the valve and some Teflon tape.

I've actually had a really hard time finding swing rather than spring check valves in the local hardware stores so I figured I'd check online. Sure enough, I picked up this set of two valves for less than the cost of a single one that I was able to find local. The casting feels quality, the machining is pretty clean with no burrs, and the check plate sits nice and flush against the valve. Highly recommended.

These valves are made from brass. That's good. (And, maybe, just a bit of stainless steel.)They hold water. Also good. And, they operate just like check valves: Water, air, whatever, flows in one direction (the direction of the arrow) and not the other. (See photo.) A simple test was performed: With the arrow pointing up, the upper opening of the valve was filled with water. Not a drop of water came out the bottom opening. Which is very good because I'd guess the weight of the water only generated a pressure of 0.07 PSI on the check "flapper." In other words, with very little force pushing on the seal, the valve closed and remained so.I like 'em.

GASHER 1PCS Swing Brass Check Valve DN20 3/4" Female Thread -- The first thing I noticed is that the valve is not 100% brass. The swing plate has a soft plastic disc attached to form the seal against the brass seat. This fact is not mentioned anywhere in the ad description. You can see the plastic in one of the photos if you pay close attention. Brass material is all that is stated. Swing plate does move freely. The brass seat is not ground completely smooth. There are tiny burs all around the seat when I feel inside the valve. On both ends of the valve, the first thread going in has small burs on it. These burs tended to snag the pipe thread seal tape. Because of the burs I didn't trust that it wouldn't leak with tape alone so I also applied pipe dope. The deeper threads after the first one are smooth. Because of the burs and the plastic I don't have great hopes for this valves longevity. I wouldn't place it where it can't easily be replaced.
